This movie has a slow start but as it continues it got pretty good. Not any gore, but a lot of jump scares and shadow play. Overall ignore the cliches and sit to the end... its worth it.

Netflix description = A film archivist sees footage revealing that his happy home was once the scene of a gruesome murder, which casts shadows upon his present life.

This was a fun interesting watch. I liked the storyline and plenty of twists, down to the last minute. No real gore or scariness, but still a great movie that is worth the watch.

Netflix description = Sams frequent tantrums turn sinister when a creepy childrens book mysteriously appears in his room, and he asks his mother, "Do you want to die?"

I was looking forward to this movie via above description. What I watched was not as menacing. Its still a fun watch, kinda slow, kinda silly with a few jump scares thrown in. I would call it family friendly, but still worth the watch.

"Preservation" ~ 2014
Netflix description = Three urbanites venture into the backwoods for a brush with nature that goes horribly awry when they find themselves being pursued by masked killers.

While the storyline was fairly predictable, this was still an exciting watch. Lots of tension and brutal violence. Unfortunately when the killers take off their masks I suddenly had so many unanswered questions that I really wish we could have learned the back story and character development. Overall, good movie and worth the watch.

This movie had a very old "feel" to it. However it still held my attention to the end. It had no gore, or really good death scenes, but just an always present creepiness factor. Overall I would say an okay watch, just truly average.

While this was not the "thriller" I was anticipating, it was still a fun watch of a party gone terribly wrong. Not a lot of plot twists or big scares, bat a strong storyline that held my attention. Worth the watch!

So yet again Netflix description was way off. Sorry guys, no poltergeist. However the movie itself was good. The main plot is a crazy Dr. and friends meet a possessed girl and try to cure her. The beginning of this movie is slow but worth watching for a final twist at the end.
