"Mine Games" ~ 2012
Netflix description = When a group of friends find a remote abandoned mine and decide to explore, their excitement turns to fear as they're hunted by a mysterious force.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was expecting a basic slasher film, but what I received was a surprising film with twists, turns and unanswered questions. The kill scenes are short with little gore but I still overall enjoyed the story. Certainly worth the watch, and one that I will probably watch again.
My score 3.5/5
"Patrick: Evil Awakens" ~ 2013
"Patrick: Evil Awakens" ~ 2013
Netflix Description = Behind the walls of the Roget Clinic which specializes in the care of coma cases, a supposedly brain dead patient is subjected to brutal experiments.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This turned out to be an often seen storyline of revenge with a couple little twists throughout. Some of the kill scenes are almost graphic and creative, however not enough to make this a "good movie". I gave it 3/5 for being truly average

"Axed" ~ 2012
"Axed" ~ 2012
Netflix description = A strict dad loosens up and lets his kids take a day off from school for a trip to the countryside. But he intends to make it their last outing ever.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The above description from Netflix really sugar coats the reality of the movie itself. I found that this movie had it all, a strong, yet twisted storyline, plus the character development to get viewer (me) involved. Also some good dark humor moments perfectly placed. Overall I really really liked this movie and certainly worth the watch!!
My score 4/5
"Beneath the Dark" ~ 2010
"Beneath the Dark" ~ 2010
Netflix description = On a road trip through the Mojave desert, contented couple Paul and Adrianne stop at a time forgotten motel to rest, but their peace is disturbed when nocturnal visits with ominous fellow guests stir a frightful secret that looms between them. As the walls begin to speak and the grim truth closes in on unsuspecting Adrianne, Paul is driven to desperate and violent action in this psychological thriller.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although a tad predictable I really enjoyed this movie. The storyline is well told and the intersection of all characters is well played. No gore - - but still a good story with a great twist at the end. Definitely worth watching!
My score 3.5/5

"Ghosts of Goldfield" ~ 2007
** first I want to apologise to all my little horror hounds, I've been dealing with my own personal nightmares and real life takes over sometimes. Thank you for your patience and your views... I hope they help!
Netflix description = On a mission to capture ghosts on video, five college students travel to an abandoned haunted hotel - - but once there, they encounter the legacy of a horrific murder. The last hotel owner killed his wife, and now her spirit is on a lethal rampage.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I found this to be a good, creepy ghost story. There are some good kill scenes and even a few unseen plot twists right to the very end. Overall a fun movie and worth the watch!!
