"Hansel Vs Gretel" ~ 2015

I started watching this unknown that it was a sequel to "Hansel and Gretel" ~ 2013. Which is one of my favorite tellings of the story. This did not disappoint. It was the same perfect blend of good storytelling, dark humor and gore. The modern re-telling is a fun ride and this movie definitely worth the watch. Seeing the first one is helpful, but not necessary.

"Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones" ~ 2014
Netflix description = When teenage Jesse investigates strange activity in a neighbors apartment, he encounters an ancient evil that won't rest until its claimed his soul.

While this was quite different that the rest of the franchise, I still found it to be enjoyable. It had a slow start but when it got going it was really good. Most of the movie is the typical hand held shakiness but with good shadowplay and background creepiness. Even a couple good jumps to keep the blood flowing!
