This movie was a twisted gore fest starting before the opening credits.  The storyline is strong, as is the telling of the back story.  I also found some parts quite funny adding that final touch of dark humor.  Over all, I loved it... worth the watch!

So this was exactly what I was expecting.  A fun campy creature feature that is just fun to watch.  The acting is tv viewing, some gore, but overall a fun mindless distraction. Worth the watch!

So this turned out to be nothing like I was expecting.  This movie is a wild ride that leads you on a tangle of twwists and turns.  At times I did find it all a little confusing but all questions were answered by the end.  Definite dark comedy and worth the watch!

When I saw a review calling this movie "Sleepaway camp meets Glee", and Minnie Driver and Meatloaf in the credits, I knew I had to watch!  This movie is teen scream silly and I loved it!  Honestly the acting is marginal and the songs terrible, but the cliches make it even better.  If looking for a dark comedy this movie is certainly worth the watch!

This was a surprisingly good movie.  Reading the Netflix description I didn't feel that there would be much else to tell.  The storyline is just twisted enough to keep a few plot twists concealed.  Sore gore, lots of psychological horror.  Overall worth the watch!

In general I am not a big fan of alien movies, but with that said, this movie was more entertaining than most and I enjoyed it.  As it is a "found footage" movie, there is a lot of shadow play and the good old fashioned jump scares.  I also did a little reasearch and found the true basis for the movie which was equally entertaining.  Good movie and definitely worth the watch

I found this to be one of the best "found footage" movies that I have seen.  The storyline is well told and well put together.  It was a fun film to watch, and even made me jump... once.  Worth the time to watch!!

While I did enjoy this movie, it is quite a stretch putting it in the horror movie genre.  Yes, there are zombies, however the movie focuses on the "shoot em up" and grenade action making it more of and action-adventure genre than horror.  That said, it was a good action story.  No gore but lots of explosions and fun energy to hold interest to the end.  Worth the watch, not worth the hype...

Yet another movie that I consider a classic.  I saw this in the theatre when it first came out, and while it is not gory, the creepy factor does its job.  The hand held camera gives the "found footage" shakiness that we now expect.  I think its a fun storyline and plays with the imagination.  Worth the watch!

This was loosely based on the true facts abou real monster Ed. Gein.  While the movie itself was an ok, the storyline seemed to focus on a sideline love story more than focusing on the the crimes committed.  Other than that disappointment, the movie is engaging and a fun watch.

I really enjoyed this modern, up to date fairy tale.  The changed enough of the storyline to still keep it interesting, new and just fun.  Some gore, but not a lot and a great ending.  If looking for something fairly tame, but highly entertaining, then I would definitely say worth the watch!!

Another haunted abandoned, found footage movie.  Some gore and lots of shadow play.  Basically for a low budget, fairly predictable movie...  its an ok, just average watch!

While I could not consider this a horror movie, I guess the content itself is.  I loved the storyline as it unfolds itself, and even more the untold, but still seen and understood, backstory.  Definitely a good movie, and worth the watch... but not really horror!

This was a fairly predictable teen scream type movie, but still a great fun to watch!  The storyline had a couple good plot twists and some gore.  I found one of the kill scenes particularly sadistic.  Overall, definitely worth the watch

This movie was so silly I couldn't help but love it!  The storyline itself is fun and a little different.  There is some gore, lots of dark humor and some very creative kill scenes.  Again its super cheesy and just a fun watch!  Definitely worth the time!

Movie Review ~ "Malevolence" 2004

Unbeknownst to me this movie is actually a prequel to the movie "Bereavement" (2010).  This also involve Martin Bristol, and filled in blanks that I had from watching "Bereavement" first.  That said, on its own, its a good storyline with a few surprising twists to keep us entertained.  Worth the watch!

I really enjoyed this fairly scary ghost. story.  Granted, it was another repeat watch but good enough to be worth it.  Its a good storyline, and the character portrayal cant help but capture your attention.  There are a few twists and turns and just overall good movie!

I found this to be a good, creepy ghost story.  There are some good kill scenes and even a few unseen plot twists right to the very end.  Overall a fun movie and worth the watch!!

This was a really fun movie, and hardly relating to above description except as the opening scene.  I found this a fresh new twist on the usual serial killer, vengeance story.   There are decent amounts of gore and original kill scenes.  Certainly worth the watch!

I really really liked this installment in the Texas chainsaw movies.  Of course there was lots of gore and over the top kill scenes, but it also showed another side of Leatherface, making him much more human in my eyes.  Overall great movie and definitely worth watching!

I tried really hard to like this movie, but after two viewings, it was hard to get through.  There are some good creepy scenes but mostly I found it dry and boring.  I decided to mark it as just below average and not on my recommendation list.

I  was very  happily surprised at this movie.  It has a slow start, but when it gets going it is awesome to the end.  There is a lots of gore, some brutal kill scenes, and a creepy kid.  Always a winning combo!  Definitely worth the watch!!

I remember watching the original when I was (much) younger and it sure seemed a lot scarier.  That said this was a still a good movie.  They did a well done modern remake.  Lots of creep factor and I must admit to jumping at least twice.  :)  Worth the watch

Personally I really enjoyed this movie.  Lots of action and a decent amount of fear and gore.  I was unsure how the multiple storylines were going to intersect but they did so with a very easy adaptation.  Good movie and I would say worth the watch.
