This was a fun, fast paced movie. Ive enjoyed the "Rec" series and was not disappointed. This movie had the fun, fast moving story of a thriller with lots of blood and gore and jump scenes to keep it horror. Overall I really liked it and would say definitely worth the watch!

Whats not to love about classic 80s horror. This movie had some of the oldest "teens" ever, but was a fun watch. There is a little gore, of course no real death scenes, just the aftermath and even a couple twists. Overall one of my personal favorites and if you like the genre its definitely worth the watch!

Even though this movie was extremely cliche and a mash up of several other movies, it was still a fun watch. Although fairly new it had the classic slasher, teen scream feel. I only wish I had seen the first "Hayride" to fill in some plot holes. Overall a good fun movie and worth the watch.

Once again I wonder if Netflix ever watched the movie to give description. True synopsis should be: Three friends want to win a paranormal contest so they buy a "haunted" mirror and a lot of cameras and wait to see what happens. That said, the story ran a bit slow but it still held my attention to the end. No gore or violent kill scenes (ok maybe one lol) but still a good creepy story that's worth the watch.

This was a very intense story. The character development is strong, making you invested in Angel. There is lots of blood, gore and mostly brutal violence. Although almost more horrific than horror its definitely worth the watch.

While the storyline was fairly predictable, this was still an exciting watch. Lots of tension and brutal violence. Unfortunately when the killers take off their masks I suddenly had so many unanswered questions that I really wish we could have learned the back story and character development. When I saw that this was a made for tv creature feature, so I wasn't expecting scary but entertaining. With that mindset I was not at all disappointed. Its a good story. Some gore and good jump scares as well. Overall, a fun mindless movie and worth the watch!

I love short anthology films, and I am a fan of the "VHS" films, but I felt this one fell short of the former two films. Like any anthology some shorts I loved, others not so much as some storylines are stronger. Some of the weaker stories are just confusing. Overall an average movie with potential to be so much better. Still worth watching.

This turned out to be quite a surprisingly good movie. It has a slow start but throws in some twists that change the entire story. I thought I had it all figured out and bam another twist all the way to the end. Some gore, some jumps and a great storyline. Definitely worth the watch!

I started watching this unknown that it was a sequel to "Hansel and Gretel" ~ 2013. Which is one of my favorite tellings of the story. This did not disappoint. It was the same perfect blend of good storytelling, dark humor and gore. The modern re-telling is a fun ride and this movie definitely worth the watch. Seeing the first one is helpful, but not necessary.

I liked this movie. Any movie that gives a kill scene before opening credits usually holds my attention. This movie was a fun teen scream, slasher flick with lots of dark humor. There were some surprises and some gore, but mostly it was just a fun campy movie. Worth the watch!

I liked this movie. Any movie that gives a kill scene before opening credits usually holds my attention. This movie was a fun teen scream, slasher flick with lots of dark humor. There were some surprises and some gore, but mostly it was just a fun campy movie. Worth the watch!

I wish that I would've seen the original film, but I found this to be quite an enjoyable movie even without. This was much more a sequel than a remake adding the nice modern flair. It had me guessing who the killer was, and surprised at the reveal. Some good kill scenes and it even made me jump and gasp a couple of times. Overall really good movie and definitely worth the time watching.

I was expecting a basic slasher film, but what I received was a surprising film with twists, turns and unanswered questions. The kill scenes are short with little gore but I still overall enjoyed the story. Certainly worth the watch, and one that I will probably watch again.

So I don't know what movie the Netflix person was describing above, but I'm not sure it was the same film I just watched.
That said this was a fun teen scream slasher flick, with a voodoo element. There are some jumps and surprises as well as some good kill scenes. Worth the watch!

I have to admit to being a bit on the fence on my opinion of this movie. I enjoyed most of it. The story is creepy and intriguing as it plays on. However, the ending is so incomplete that it made everything that I had just seen into a bigger question. Maybe I missed something... Anyhow for me this film just missed the average mark.

While this was not really a horror movie, it was still a really good movie. There is lots of action and good vs evil. Also a well told backstory and even a little love connection. Something for everyone lol. Overall worth the watch, but not scary.

The above description is quite a bit off in my opinion. For the first half of the movie the parents are trying to figure things out, thus building a well told abduction film. While I am not a fan of most alien movies, this had a good storyline and even a couple surprises. Horror genre? Not really but again a good watch.

While this was quite different that the rest of the franchise, I still found it to be enjoyable. It had a slow start but when it got going it was really good. Most of the movie is the typical hand held shakiness but with good shadowplay and background creepiness. Even a couple good jumps to keep the blood flowing!
